Goodbye. Tuscon. Goodbye

from RJ Walker

A 15 minute play written by RJ Walker in 24 hours for the Flash24 Theatre Festival.
Eric and his partner Tuscon share a house in the high desert at the edge of suburbia. Eric leaves in anger after an argument and that night, the bedroom burns down with Tuscon inside. Tuscon was using a propane camp heater in the room, dying of carbon monoxide poisoning before the blaze started. The fire looks like an accident, but Eric suspects foul play.

This engaging theatre piece explores the struggle of loving someone with mental illness, the ethics of surviving a lover, and an emotional look at Schrodinger's theory of superposition.
